Original printed wrappers with vignettes of a butterfly and grasshopper to upper cover. The upper cover announces that this is ‘A New and Improved Edition, with New Plates.’ But this is in fact the original edition with Mulready’s illustrations, not the newly illustrated edition of 1808. Presumably this is another example of publishers using old and new stock. Booklist on lower cover which includes an announcement for the publication ‘shortly’ of The Lobster’s Voyage to the Brazils.,’ which was first published in 1808.
