Presentation copy from the illustrator, inscribed on the front free endpaper: ‘To Marjorie Cold [?] with love from the illustrator of these vitriolic pages A Savory. Oct. 1933.’ Presentation copies are rare. Savoury also illustrated another book by Humbert Wolfe, called Stings and Wings, published in 1935, and wrote and illustrated a book entirely of his own creation entitled, 'The Brighter Side of Cricket, in 1933.
