Original printed covers with manuscript note at foot of upper cover: ‘In 20 editions of one copy each.’ On the blank verso of the upper cover is written ‘3rd Edition.’ Presentation copy inscribed: ‘To G. C. Pease with the Author’s Artist's Best Love New Year 1910.’ Few old minor creases, else a very good copy of a finely illustrated, privately published, fairy tale. Hope Begbie, a poet, published a slim collection entitled ‘Verses’ in 1917.
