Bookplate of Walter Henry James [2nd Baron Northbourne (25 March 1846 – 27 January 1923), a British peer and Liberal politician] to front pastedown and one other to free endpaper; name of Philip Rogers to endpaper, the well-known Kent author; else a very good, clean and handsome copy. One of the rarest and most difficult titles to find as the remaining stock was largely destroyed by a fire at John Nichols's printing works and warehouse during the night of the eighth of February, 1808.
