[London.]: [William Sallis.], [circa 1840]. 40 hand-coloured lithographs mounted on folding linen sheet, approx’ 64 x 50cm, in publishers cloth on boards, each lithograph depicts a monarch and an event during their reign up to the wedding of Queen Victoria. Lacks rules. A copy is held by the Victoria & Albert Museum. Not in Whitehouse.

Box splitting at sides; small tear in rule sheet; else a very good copy of a rare table game.

London: Misch & Co, No date [circa 1910]. Comprising two fully articulated paper dolls (a boy and girl), a motor car, and 10 accessories, all contained in the original pictorial cardboard box with verses and an illustration to the folding flaps. Probably lacking some accessories and the box is a little damaged, but the contents are in excellent order.

London: C. W. Faulkner & Co. Ltd, No date [circa 1920’s, though it could be earlier]. A metamorphic game of twenty changing characters drawn from fairy tales and children’s fiction, including: Sinbad the Sailor, Cinderella; Aladdin; Alice in Wonderland; and Robin Hood. Each figure has been cut into three pieces. Contained in the original box and with the rules. Box restored; some edge wear to cards; else a very good example. .

London: Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd, No date [1909]. Comprising three full-colour panels, each containing a jig-saw; the backs with verses. Each puzzle: 265 x 214 mm. The three contained in a cardboard box with a pictorial title label. Box expertly repaired at sides; small rub to the border and corner of one puzzle; else in excellent condition. Scarce.

London: Ernest Nister, No date [circa1900]. Comprising six pictorial cards printed in full colour each displaying 8 objects; together with a cotton draw-string bag containing 48 numbered and titled card discs which match the objects and numbers on the large, pictorial cards. Rules pasted to the inner surface of the lid. Original cardboard box with a mounted full colour pictorial label, being the identical image used by Nister on ‘Our Little People’s Books.' Very slight wear to the corner of a few cards; else excellent.

London: Jaques and Son, (No date), circa 1865. Comprising 12 colour-printed maps; 91 circular ‘tickets;’ a quantity of black and white counters; a circular wooden; a book of rules; all contained in the original box with mounted label to the sliding lid. Lacks the ‘key sheet’ and some tickets; else a very good example of a rare game.

London: E. Wallis and J. Harris and Son, No date [circa 1833/34]. Comprising of an engraved sheet, divided into twelve sections, and mounted on linen, together with a book of rules and directions for playing the game. Both contained in the original slipcase decorated in blind and gilt. Sheet size when unfolded, 490 x 480 mm. The rule book is loose in its original wrappers; otherwise everything is like new. Certainly, this is the best example of this popular game that we have ever handled. See Whitehouse, page 28.

Original box with mounted hand-coloured pictorial label. two small pieces from lugs lost; else an excellent copy of a rare jigsaw. Not in Hannas.

Madrid: Libro de Oro, 1859. 153, [1 blank], [4] Indice pages. With 7 pages of illustrations of cards. Contemporary full calf gilt. Al ledges gilt. Binding: 10.3 x 7.6 cm. Binding a little worn and just beginning to split at head of spine; ownership stamp of Count De Torre Diaz on endpaper. A very good clean copy.

London: Castell Brothers Ltd, No date. Title card, and 53 other pictorial cards; book of rules; all contained in the original red box with pictorial lid. Neat ownership name on title-page of book and insdie of box; else an excellent set.

Paris: L'Auteur, No date [circa 1815]. 31 page book of the fifteen fables, with a folding engraved plate at rear; a hand-coloured engraved backdrop with slots to accommodate the moveable figures; 32 of 34 hand-coloured shaped figures, contained in a marbled pouch; all contained in a matching marbled slipcase with a mounted printed label. Case: 17 x 13 cm. Though lacking two of the moveable figures - another figure has lost a hand - this is the most complete example we have handled. Some wear and lioght foxing; else very good.

Lesney: No date [circa 1950's]. Folding pictorial street layout on cardboard, folding into original paper sleeve. Sleeve torn and with a small area of loss, pencil price and stock code in biro on one side; else very good and unused.
