Printed by Typogravure Goupil, Paris in Paris, illustrating the fables of La Fontaine, Circa 1910. Each card measures 18.5 x 12.5 cm., is illustrated by L. Chalon with a full-colour lithograph, with the beginning of the text, and on the reverse with an illustration in blue, decoration and the remainder of the text in blue. The cards are in fine condition. These cards, one of many sets issued by this company, promoted the use of phosphates for the health of infants.

1865. An undated A.L.S from Catherine Amy Dawson Scott [founder of International PEN] to a Mrs [Dolores] Harding, concerning membership, presumably of International PEN. Very good. Catharine Amy Dawson Scott [ August 1865 – 4 November 1934] was an English writer, playwright and poet.

1952. Signed photograph of Very Lynn together with a brief letter from her secretary, which has been signed by Vera Lynn at the head of the page. Portrait: 51/2 x 31/2 Both contained in the original mailed envelope (1952). Very good.

1857. Results card for this election showing the number of votes cast for the two candidates in each town in West Kent. 12.5 x 9 cm. Small adhesion mark on blank verso where possibly removed from an album; else fine.

1911. A fine presentation album of original photographs, bound in full plum-coloured calf, gilt with the company's coat of arms to the upper panel. The first leaf bears the inscription: 'From G. W. Barber Master of the Worshipful Company of Girdlers 1911. 192 & 1913. There then follows 10 original mounted photographs, the first being of the Master, the Clerk, the Beadle, and the Porter, the remainder being of the interior décor of the building at Basinghall Avenue The City, London. On the opposite blank page are hand-written descriptions. The album measures: 33 x 30 cm., and is contained in a felt-lined cloth-covered box. The album is in fine state; the box in worn and one joint is broken.
