1925. 'THE BOY WHO WOULD GROW UP.' An original cartoon by Strube drawn in pen & ink on Whatman Drawing Board. 38 x 26.5 cm. The cartoon, which is stamped on the verso: '27th Jan 1925, and which was probably published in the Daily Express, shows Uncle Sam congratulating John Bull for returning the pound to the Gold Standard. The shrunken and shabby figures of the franc and the lira look on. Some dust-soiling, else very good.
