Feb. 9, 1864-1914.' Inside, on a blank endpaper, is written: 'With love from Kathie Brodie Hoare Fe. 9 1914.' The same date as on the cover. The book was a gift to John Erskine Campbell-Colquhoun and Emily Agnes Bevan, from Katherine Brodie Hoare, and old friend of the family, to celebrate their Golden Wedding. The book contains the bookplates of John Raymond Warren and Percy E. Spielmann, and loosely inserted is a typed signed letter from Percy Spielmann documenting the book's history and that of the people who had owned it. The binding has a tiny rub at the side of the spine; else is a very handsome copy.
