London.Messrs Booker. 1791. vii, [I blank], 165, [I blank], I pp Ad'. Octavo. First edition. Bound with: VINCENT, W. THE GREEK VERB ANALYSED. An Hypothesis. In which the source and structure of the Greek language, and of language in general is considered. No place or publisher. 1795. [iv], 116pp. Folding table. Octavo. First edition. At page 99 begins an Appendix on 'The regular inflexion of the Welsh Verb' by Peter Roberts. Both bound together in half calf, gilt over marbled boards. The first volume has been cut down to match the size of the second volume. This is evident from a few leaves that bear marginal notes and that are still their original size. The second volume bears the inscription in ink on the half-title: 'The Gift of the Rev.d Peter Roberts to the Rev.d Edw. Davies.' The front endpaper is inscribed in pencil: 'Bishop Horseley's copy.' The spine is worn and rubbed with some small loss at the head; the boards and corners are rubbed. A couple of marginal tears in the blank margins of those leaves that are oversize. Else very good copies.
