Bound in Half calf over marbled boards; all four volumes sometime nicely re-backed, with red gilt title labels. 168 x 110 mm. Corners of boards worn; some occasional off-setting from the plates; repairs to the joints of the blank recto of the frontispiece of Vol’ I; else a very good set.' It was originally planned to published five volumes, with 150 engravings, but only four were actually published. Adams 155.
