Part II: engraving on title, and 18 wood-engravings. Both parts bound separately in quarter sheep over marbled boards, with title labels to the upper panels. 163 x 100 mm. The last leaf in Part II has a slightly reduced fore-edge; else both parts are in fine condition. This title was issued in two parts in wrappers and in roan- backed boards, the two parts bound together. The book is rare in either state. See Darton 464A. The attribution to Mary Elliott relies solely on an advert, circa 1830 and therefore cannot be regarded as certain. The engravings are identified by Darton as the ‘W’ engraver.
