Original marbled boards, recently re-backed in untitled sheep to match original. 12mo. First edition. Some occasional light spotting; ownership names on front endpaper; else a very good copy of the scarce first edition. Tattersfield JB34. This book was the first and most successful product of the collaboration between Bewick and Trusler. It was reprinted in 1791, 1803, and again in two undated editions. A pirated edition was published in Dublin in 1791.
