[Writing Sheet.] THE GRAND CONFEDERATION at PARIS on the 12th of JULY 1790 – HELD in the CHAMP DE MARS.
London: Robt Sayer, 1790. A hand-coloured engraved writing sheet showing scenes from the Fete held in the Champs De Mars to celebrate the French Revolution and the Constitutional Monarchy. The sheet has been filled out by one W. Hart on December 20th 1794, presumably to take home to his parents at the Christmas holiday as evidence of his educational progress. The sheet has 8 hand-coloured engraved vignettes. It measures: 450 x 345 mm. It has some damage – tears and splits – and requires conservation, but is rare example. [14199] £600. 00.
