    Oldham: Incline Press, 2009. Number 22 from an edition of 200 copies cut in linoleum and wood by Suyeon Kim, and printed on BFK Rives paper, and signed by the artist. 'A Line' is a continuous illustration made of sixteen prints that extends to almost seventeen feet, so accordion folded in a hard cover and slip-case, 10 by 7 inches (25.5 x 18 cm). Illustrated with one full-page and 15 double-page woodcuts printed against a colour tint, then overprinted with lino-cuts and finally, hand-coloured in red and yellow. Graham Moss and Mike Tregear printed, hand coloured and bound the book. The case uses blue book cloth and hand-made Korean paper, captured rather than glued so that the surface ripples…

The book is typeset in Garamond by Charles Hall in Cornwall and printed litho by Adrian Lack at The Senecio Press in Charlbury on Arches Rivoli paper. Bound by The Fine Bindery in Wellingborough, in quarter red morocco over pictorial paper-covered boards; original cloth and paper slipcase. A fine copy with the original prospectus loosely laid in.

Comprising of a title and colophon, and 24 loose wood-engravings, printed in a variety of colours, each signed or initialled by John O’Connor in pencil. All contained in a cloth folder with a wood-engraving mounted on the upper panel. The engravings were commissioned from John O’Connor by Hal Cheetham for his privately printed volume of porty entitled ‘La Vida Breve’. Forty copies of each engraving were printed from the original blocks by Jonathan Stephenson at the Rocket Press, Millcroft Stables, Blewbery, Oxfordshire on Zerkall mould-made paper. A fine set, now scarce.
