The imprint on this copy has been overlaid with a printed label reading: ‘MACBETHS’ of King Street wish all their little friends a Merry Christmas.’ An inscription in ink at the top of the front wrapper reads: ‘With love & best wishes from all at Offed [?] House 25 xii 25.’ Small area of wear at head of spine; else a very good copy. First published in ‘The Studio’ in 1919. .

[1886.]. Publisher unknown. [8] leaves printed on one side only with a series of sketches taken from Breton Folk. Original decorative wrappers with ribbon tie at spine. Oblong: 120 x 190 mm. Designed as a form of Christmas card, the senders have written their names on the front cover in a space designed expressly for that purpose. Some spotting throughout; else a very good copy of a rare Caldecott item. See Engen, page 98.
