Title-page and last leaf a little chipped at the outer edges; the covers too are worn with some slight loss; else a very good copy of an early example of this popular optical toy first issued in America in the 1880’s.

Bavaria: No date, but circa 1920. A flip or flick book of twenty-six pages designed in such a way that when flicked they create the illusion of movement, in this example, a Bavarian in national dress, standing on a hillside holding a gun and waving his hat. Bavarian, but mark trimmed at spine as bound. 26 pages. Oblong: 40 x 57 mm. A very good copy.
