First edition, but a later issue as the paper is watermarked 1825 [an issue not recorded by Mrs Moon.] First issues can only be identified by their watermark. Head of spine with slight loss; else a very good, clean copy of a relatively common though highly attractive book. The book was also issued coloured. From the library of the noted English collector of early children's books, Dr. L. G. E. Bell, with his small bookplate to the front fixed endpaper. Moon 151.
