Presentation copy from Nicholson, inscribed in the presentation box on the front fixed endpaper: ‘(For) Prudence Maufe For Christmas 1926 (From) William Nicholson.’ This is a scarce book in first edition - considerably more so than The Pirate Twins - and particularly so in wrapper. Presentation copies are rare.
