Contemporary full calf, sometime re-backed with the original spine laid down. 275 x 220 mm. First edition. Some browning and foxing, but not as severe as is often the case. A very good copy of this scarce history, complete with half-title; the preliminary subscribers’ list, which was often discarded when bound, and the ‘Erratum’ pasted to the blank verso of the title.
