Three home-made menu display cards, decorated with watercolours of flowers and fruits. Circa late Victorian / early Edwardian. Each card: 15.5 x 10.4 cm. Each has a 'leg' mounted on the verso so that the card may be stood-up; each has four slits so that the menu can be held in place.

Mounted on the front free endpaper is a sheet of Fermor’s headed notepaper bearing a gift inscription, set within his customary cloud surrounded by birds, to Colin Seymour Ure, and signed in full. There is also a small correction on the rear inner flap of the wrapper, where the word ‘Life’ and been changed in biro to ‘Irish’.

Moscow: A pre-revolutionary Russian version of the nursery classic, printed in Moscow, 1900. [12] pages, including outer wrappers. Illustrated with 4 full-page coloured plates. Original semi-stiff pictorial wrappers. 21 x 14 cm. The copy has been interleaved with tipped-in pages of translation of the text into French.

[London.]: [Thomas Nelson and Sons.], [1856.]. The first edition of this work was issued without a title-page. 3 leaves of music; 1 leaf of lyrics; text finishing on page 24. Eight full-page coloured illustrations in total. Original red ripple-grain pictorial cloth gilt. 4to. There are two issues of the first edition, neither of which were issued with a title-page. This copy is a first issue. See Quayle [6a]. Loosely laid in is an original watercolour by Ballantyne for one of the illustrations. Contemporary inscription [May 1857] on front free endpaper; few light marks; else an excellent copy of the rare first edition, first issue. The watercolour shows signs on the verso of being removed from an album. It was purchased together with other Ballantyne originals at a Bonhams auction in 2001. .

No date. [Circa 1940]. Three manuscript signed letters from Osbert Sitwell to Lalla Vandervelde. No year dates, but circa 1940's, as one mentions the death of Osbert's father which occured in1943. All three on Renishaw Hall paper. Creases where folded; else fine.
