Wood engravings from LA VIDA BREVE.
Blewbury, Oxfordshire: The Rocket Press, No date [1991]. Comprising of a title and colophon, and 24 loose wood-engravings, printed in a variety of colours, each signed or initialled by John O’Connor in pencil. All contained in a cloth folder with a wood-engraving mounted on the upper panel. The engravings were commissioned from John O’Connor by Hal Cheetham for his privately printed volume of porty entitled ‘La Vida Breve’. Forty copies of each engraving were printed from the original blocks by Jonathan Stephenson at the Rocket Press, Millcroft Stables, Blewbery, Oxfordshire on Zerkall mould-made paper. A fine set, now scarce.
