Loosely laid in is a twenty-two line typed letter from Gillian Avery discussing English chapbooks with a correspondant who is obviously something of an expert on the subject. The letter is dated 1992 and is siged in ink, "With love, Gill." There are some later non-relevant notes added to the blank areas of the age - and to the blank verso - presumably by the recipient.
