The last leaf has been strengthened on the outer margin of the verso; the first plate has been restored at the bottom outer corner, where a small piece has been torn away, just affecting the illustration; some light water-staining to the lower portion of the last signature; else an excellent copy of an early edition. The above copy is the third edition, second issue; the Preface, the Life, and the Reflections are all the work of Samuel Richardson. This issue is probably the last edition printed by Richardson as he died in 1761. Early copies in such excellent condition are rare.
