1925. An original cartoon by Strube drawn in pen & ink on Whatman Drawing Board. 38 x 26.5 cm. The cartoon, which is stamped on the verso: '14th Jan 1925, and which was probably published in the Daily Express, shows pedestrians crossing a traffic-fileld road by means of an escalator and a helter-skelter. Light dust-soiling, else very good.

A panoramic pull-out book of 12 panels, of which, four bear text and the remaining 8, hand-coloured engravings; folding into original wrappers; the upper panel title and bearing an engraving of Tom Thumb. Extended: 108 x 12 cm. Folded: 12 x 10 cm. Worn and chipped and creased, with one joint splitting, but a rare survival. Contained in a modern cloth and paper case. The Hockliffe project website has another title in the same series: Old Mother Goose.

A very good copy of a first issue with a mistake in pagination [pp. 29 - 30]. and all adverts at rear, including two smaller ad's, one being printed on yellow paper.
