Two fine watercolour designs attributed to Margaret Thompson for greeting cards, published by De La Rue, circa 1880’s. ‘LOVE FOR THEE NO CIRCLING YEARS CAN CHANGE.’ ‘MAY FRIENDSHIP GIVE NEW BLOOM TO ALL THEY YEARS.’ Some rubbing to the wording on one card; else in excellent order. These came from the collection of Henry Herbert Harrod, author of children’s books and a collector of original illustration.
