BOWLES'S ROAD DIRECTOR THROUGH ENGLAND AND WALES; being a New and Comprehensive Display of the Roads and Distances from Town to Town, and of each remarkable place from London.
London.Bowles and Carver. 1797. Hand-coloured engraved map of England, Wales, and part of Scotland, with an elaborate cartouche, cut into 16 sections and mounted on linen, measuring approximately 24 x 21 inches. Folding into a much worn slipcase with title-label to upper cover and ad's to lower. Some light soiling to map, with some light staining here & there; linen just wearing through at a few joints; slipcase very worn. A nice example.
