Original half binding of red sheep, gilt over boards, spine with title and bands in gilt. Boards a little bumped and the spine is a little rubbed especially at head and tail. Cracking at inner hinges but text block is firm apart from pp 39 to 46 which stand a little proud. Some spotting and offset discolouration to the plates, the last one of which is cropped a little short but with no loss. Name in ink of previous owner on front free end-paper. To the front board is pasted the bookplate of Prince Henry Duke of Gloucester. A very good copy.Darton H1526(2).
