Contemporary full sheep with tree effect; spine with raised bands, title label and heavy gilt. All edges red. Marbled endpapers. Folio. Boards are scratched and rubbed with bumping to extremities where the leather has worn away. The leather to the head of the spine has been pulled with some loss but the headband is intact; there is slight bookworm damage to the tail. Inner joints are cracking at the end-papers. Generally the text is clean and crisp with very occasional spotting, browning and light dampstaining. Small tear to lower edge of one of the final leaves.
