A near fine copy in a wrapper that is just a little worn at the head of the spine. This copy, which was probably a prize, is a presentation copy from Derek McCulloch, inscribed by him on the title-page: 'Good wishes from Derek McCulloch. "Uncle Mac" of the B.B.C.' It is also signed by three of the contributors on the title-page: B. de R. Sleigh 'Barbara'. Stephen King-Hall, and Dr. L. du Garde Peach. Additionally there are the signatures of David Seth-Smith "The Zoo man", and Commander Ruper T. Gould, beneath their photographs within the book. Loosely inserted to a Miss Margaret Jackson, is the promotional postcard issued by Hutchinson to promote the title. Margaret Jackson's neat signature is also on the title. A unique copy.
