Dickens Centenary stamp affixed to front fixed endpaper; original gift presentation inscription on front free endpaper; some light foxing on title; slight bubbling of cloth; else a remarkably fresh, clean copy of an undoubted curiosity.This edition was issued to aid 'The Daily telegraph' Fund to benefit the five grand-daughters of Charles Dickens. Proceeding the half-title is a printed limitation leaf bearing the signatures of the five grand-daughters, and stating that this is copy number 111 of an edition of 500. It is date Christmas 1911. According to the British Library catalogue this title was first issued in 1911.
