NAPOLEON.

Paris: Circa 1830. A twenty-four panel French alphabet panorama of military figures with syllabaire panels to each pastedown. No imprinted or date, but Paris, circa 1838. ‘W’ is omitted as usual and ‘X’ and ‘Y’ share a single panel. Lithographed throughout by Dembour, Metz. One illustration signed: ‘L.S. 1838.’ Some panels have been coloured or partly coloured by a child, but quite skillfully. Original paper-covered card covers with a duplicate panel of Napoleon to the upper panel. Extended: 176 cm. Folded: 144 x 84 mm. Spine splitting on rear panel, but firm; boards rubbed and with some loss of colour; else very good. Very scarce.
