LITTLE GOODY TWO SHOES.
London: John Cooke & Sons, No date, but inscribed 1874, though it could be a little earlier. Six leaves, printed on one side only, each bearing a hand-coloured engraving with text beneath. Original wrappers with a pastedown repeat engraving, also hand-coloured. 298 x 210 mm. Small blank piece missing from rear wrapper, and a short tear in the margin of the last leaf; lower cover a little marked; gift inscription to the black verso of the front wrapper; spine beginning to split; but a very good copy of a rare work with particularly fine colouring. The front wrapper advertises eleven other titles in the series, all at sixpence each.
