London: Printed for E. Lloyd. Harley-street, Cavendish-Square, 1801. Two volumes, bound as one. Vol. I: [iv], 107 pages; six engraved plates. Vol: II: [iv],107 pages; six engraved plates. Bound in a contemporary full red calf gilt, with the owner’s name, Caroline Wigley, in gilt on the front panel, and ‘Reward of Merit’ in gilt on the lower pane. All edges gilt. 12mo. Ownership name of ‘Caroline Wigley – 1806’ on the title of Vol. I, and again, but ‘C. M. Wigley’, on the title of Vol’. II. Later name on the title of Vol’. I. Possibly lacking half-titles. First edition. One plate in volume I has been secured to a text page with a paper repair; some marking to the title of Volume I and some occasional marking throughout; binding rubbed and worn at spine ends and corners; else a very good set of a scarce title. Library Hub list two copies only. The book takes the form of a dialogue, concerning manners and behaviour, between a mother and her two children’
