Original quarter red roan gilt over pictorial paper-covered boards; the upper cover showing Harris’s shop in St. Paul’s Church-yard. 135 x 109 mm. First edition. Short closed tear in title, and one other leaf with a closed tear (no loss in either instance); some occasional light spotting else a very good copy of one of Harris’s most charming and successful titles. The book shows the assorted goods on sale at the Soho Bazaar, Instruction on the making and origin of them is intermingled with amusement, making the book a simple but educative item of social history.
