CORRESPONDENCE OF A CAT, being Christy’s Letters, addressed to his dear friends and favourite playfellows. Now first published by permission of his executors.

London: Harvey & Darton, 1846. [3], 3-31, [2] pages. Engraved frontispiece. Original printed wrappers. 13.3 x 10.6 cm. Frontispiece a little browned, and slightly worn at outer edge, where once loose; spine repaired; some corrections in the text, some, almost certainly in the author’s hand; else a very good copy. Inscribed on front endpaper: ‘Selina Cox with affec ate : love of the author.’ A Selina is mentioned in a manuscript correction in the verses, and it is likely that this is a presentation copy to a daughter or close relative, as the initials J.C. that close the book have been extended to J. Cox, and the name Julia, written underneath.. Very scarce. Not in Necker World Cat records B.L copy, lacking rear board.
