A peepshow bearing no imprint or date, but German, circa 1840. The hand-coloured front panel has a single oval viewing hole, revealing four shaped pictorial sections separated by bellows, which extend the view to the pictorial back board. The six views are numbered 1 through to 6. All sections are hand-coloured lithographs. Original slipcase with the title in German, French, and English. Case restored at edges; else a fine copy.
