Wood-engraving of a zebra on the flap and three other wood-engravings in the text on the verso: a woman seated at a spinning wheel; an angel guiding an infant on a raft at sea to the safety of the shore; Mother Hubbard and her dog. The text comprises upper and lower case alphabets, irregular alphabets and two and three letter words and syllables. Unfolded: 13.3 x 21.7cm. folded to 13.3 x 8.5cm. A fine copy of a scarce item..
