London: Darton and Clark, No date [circa 1848]. 136 pages. Illustrated with a colour series title, four hand-coloured plates and numerous wood-engravings in the text. Original decorative cloth gilt. 13.5 x 11 cm. Spine expertly repaired; corners a little worn and rubbed; but a very good copy of a charming little book. Darton H1209 for a slightly earlier edition, without the illuminated series title for the Childs [sic] Library, and the reference to it on the front cover.
