THE JUVENILE LIBRARY.

London: Sold by the Booksellers, 1829. Containing, The Honest Farmer; The Sloven; Alfred and Thomas; The Good Father; The Fortunate Man; Charlotte and Francis; The Two Sisters; Little George and Cecilia; The Bad Boy Reformed; Little Matilda; The Four Seasons; The Three Cakes. A collection of 12 chapbooks, all published and issued individually by the firm of T. Christie, and dated 1829; here brought together and issued under the guise of a Juvenile Library. Each chapbook is 32 pages in length, has a wood-engraved frontispiece and between 14 and 15 woodcuts throughout. Original printed boards, with a woodcut to the upper panel. 12 x 7 cm. Re-backed in plain brown paper; boards quite heavily rubbed and worn; some minor wear to the chapbooks; ownership details to front endpaper; but, overall, a very good example. Very scarce.
