Issued by Orlando Hodgson of Cloth Fair, West Smithfield, London, circa 1830, bound together at the time, circa 1834. Each has a hand-coloured engraved frontispiece ['with a beautiful Engraving'] and is of 16 pages. The titles are: The Remarkable History of Goody Two Shoes; The Seven Voyage of Sinbad The Sailor; Beauty and the Beast; The Life of Robinson Crusoe; Valentine and Orson; The Surprising Adventures of Tom Thumb; The Singular Story of Puss in Boots; Three-Fingered Jack; The Surprising Story of the White Cat; The Fair One with Golden Locks; Gulliver's Voyage to Lilliput; The Yellow Dwarf and the Princess All Fair; The Invisible Prince; The King of the Golden Mountain. To which is added The Waggish Musician; The Golden Goose; to which is added The Three Travelling Cocks; Graciosa and Percinet; The Butterfly; to which is added Prince Brilliant; The Fairy Cri-Cri; The Adventures of Philip Quarll; The Wonderful History of Jack and the Beanstalk; The Surprising History of Jack the Giant-Killer; The Celebrated History of the Renowned Robin Hood; The History of Little Red Riding Hood; Diamonds and Toads; Riquet with the Tuft. Bound, without their original paper wrappers, in contemporary half calf gilt over Dutch floral paper. 10.6 x 6.8 cm. Spine with loss to the leather; occasional light soiling; some fore-edges shaved very close; contemporary ownership name and date on endpaper; 'Louis Hunt 1834.' Else a very good, probably unique, collection of chapbooks from a single publisher.
