DAME PARTLET’S FARM; containing an account of the great riches she obtained by industry, the good life she led, and alas, good reader! her sudden Death and Epitaph. New edition.
London: Grant and Griffith, No date [circa 1840]. 48 pages. Illustrated with 13 hand-coloured engravings. Recently finely bound in quarter red sheep over marbled boards. This is a reprint of a title first published by John Harris in 1804. Mrs Moon records that a copy was reported with a manuscript note on the verso of the title; ‘This book was written by Dr James Hodson.’ Dr Hodson was the author of religious works and the British Library lists his books dated from 1787 to 1853.
