Illustrated with 22 plates in Part III; 9 in Part IV; 11 in Part V. Volume III; Part VI: [3] 4-232, [1], [7 ad's] pages. Illustrated with 32 plates. The first plate in each volume is hand-coloured as issued; the remaining plates are uncoloured. Contemporary calf, expertly re-backed. 12mo. First edition. Ownership name of Susan Woodward to the title-page of each volume; some annotation in pencil by her, both in French and English, throughout volume I; couple of water stains to margins; else an excellent crisp copy of a very scarce 18th century children's book, rarely found complete. This title could be purchased with the plates coloured or uncoloured; this is the first occasion we have handled a copy with the only frontispieces coloured, and the remaining plates uncoloured.
