Description Comprising of a wooden box with a sliding lid bearing a pictorial hand-coloured pastedown, 18 of 28 hand-coloured engraved cards, and two miniature books, each of thirty pages, plus I page of ad's. Lacks ten cards, and the majority of the remaining cards are worn; Volume II lacks pages 10& 1, and 21 & 22. However according to Alderson, writing in the Quarterly Journal of the Private Libraries Association [Vol 6. No. 1 Spring 1983], this is the rarest of the ten 'Cabinets' issued by John Marshall; in fact, he could not trace a copy However, at a sale in the United States in the mid 1990's a complete set sold for $25,000. This is the second example to be discovered.
