Description 96 pages. Engraved frontispiece, and 8 woodcuts within the text. Original wrappers, with woodcut to the upper panel. 12mo. Little carelessly opened in places; some light spotting; the wrapper, however, is for the sister book, The Seven Wise Mistresses of Rome! The word 'Mistresses' has been crossed through and 'Masters' substituted in longhand. A very good copy. No copy by this publisher located in ESTC., but a copy in the Cotsen Children's Library at Princeton. The preface recommends this book 'as most proper to initiate or introduce youth into the principles of sound literature and virtue.'
