Description Comprising of a rule card, and 39 other cards divided into 13 sets of three cards, each set representing a country. Of the three, one card shows a simple engraved map, coloured by hand, another an engraved figure in characteristic costume, also coloured by hand, the third offers a brief survey of the geography, exports, population etc. The forty cards still have the original wrapper that they were sold in. It bears a hand-coloured image of Napoleon Buonaparte on the front panel, and has the rules on the verso. The wrapper is very worn, with loss, and has some crude taping; some cards are closely trimmed; else a very good and complete set of this rare geographical game. The wrapper bears the inscription: 'Miss Hollis Prize for Geography December 1813.' We have been unable to locate another copy of this early game.
